About Gillies

This blog is a way of sharing my love of food with others, hoping to create an online discussion/recipe swapping mothers meeting/knitting circle type thing. I have always loved food, thoroughly enjoying my tastes growing and changing, feeling a sense of pride when I liked something that adults said were an “acquired taste”; I love it all. From the simple wonder of glossy peanut butter spread thickly on hunks of toasted bread, to the more refined wonders of delicate seafood and fragrant meats. I am in every sense of the word, a  ‘foodie’ and my 27 years experience of the world has succeeded in making this a truly wonderful thing.

  1. Great! I hope you’ll be sharing lots more recipes and meals … A foodie myself, now living in France, I appreciate your (well-written!) shares. My barely one-year-old granddaughter, the daughter of a foodie head chef, is already sampling all the tastes under the sun and loves limes, pickled onions, olives, cheese, chilli, coffee and Guinness …
